Oregon Ducks

"Oregon Ducks" 22 x 30 inch watercolor

This is a scene of Clear Lake, Oregon and true to it's name Clear Lake is amazingly clear for some reason. On a side note there seem to be way too many lakes named Clear Lake in this country. You would think that people that get to name lakes would be slightly more creative with their names . . .

I started this picture a while back after visiting Clear Lake for the first time and recently have been working on finishing it and am currently trying to decide if its done or not.

Note: Yes the guy fishing is wearing an Oregon Ducks hat. Its anyone's guess as to whether he's a Duck football or basketball fan. =)

that's a cool way to get the water looking like glass

Man, I don't mean to kiss bottom too bad, but real artists like yourself just blow me away. I just cannot get over how people like you and Ester can draw/paint so amazingly. I totally just love your work Michael (and Ester too!). If ever I write a book or put out an albumn, I know who I want to do the art. No kidding!

Man! I sometime laugh how cool it is that there are so many valuable and precious components of the body of Christ too! Maybe one day I'll be able to use my gifts to encourage and bless you too!

wow, nice compliments, and thanks :)

I'd have to agree, your work is great Michael!

Ester - Thanks, the real lake is so clear that it was a bit of a challenge trying to make it look clear, but it was good fun.

Armchair - thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy your comments. (both on your own blog and others) And if you ever decide to write a graphic novel about the exploits of your life: "The Life and Times of the Armchair Theologian - Tales that are Curiously Tall and Intriguing" you'll have to let me know! =)

Nice job on this one. Its been years since I've been to Clear lake.. but it is so nice. I hear it gets pretty crowded now.. it that right?

Nancy, it hasn't been overly crowded when I've been there, but I haven't been there in the middle of the summer either.
